I came to Portland for the first time to participate in the Hood to Coast Relay event. The Benson was a good place to stay. The staff were very helpful and the room was clean and exactly what I was expecting. I didn’t really like the fact that they had plush pillows on the bed though. Made it feel that they maybe were not as clean. Nothing indicated that they were dirty, but just felt that way. The other downside is that I walked around the city around 9 in the morning looking for some breakfast and nothing was open. I could not find anything that was open close by and when I finally located something, they were not open even though the signs posted indicated they should be. With this in mind, it wasn’t the best for location.
Beautiful interior. I was a FAN OF THE HUUUGE MIRROR IN THE LOBBY!! The room was spacious, beds were comfy. Pillows were great. Staff was nice. The gym is well equipped and I loved that it had a separate room for barre. They offer complimentary tea and coffee in the mornings so that was nice. It’s pricey but very pretty.
Great stay, close to lots of city sights! Walkable to the moda center and the waterfront. Staff were incredibly friendly. Restaurant prices were fair/competitive and the food was really good. Rooms were spacious and had really cozy touches. Highly recommend.
Beautiful old building in downtown Portland. Beautiful lobby with cozy spaces to sit and mingle or talk. Small lobby bar, closed but looked nice. Revolving door with valet. Beautiful room with tons of pillows. Small bit comfortable bathroom.
For Hilton the room seems a little ran down. But still nice. We got late check out when ordering which they tell you on the website to ask. We asked and they informed us we have to wait until 1030-11am on check out day to see if its possible. So I supposed to wait until we are supposed to check out to find out if we can check out early? I get maybe 24hrs prior, but 30 mins prior!? During check in they only had one person working front desk took us 20-30mins to just get tonthebdesk to check in. This was due to some lady holding up the line asking questions that they could not assist with. Great location and beautiful lobby.
A Hilton Hotel, wow from the valet parking to check out first class all the way nicely appointed lobby, very friendly desk clerks and the room, wow. We could have thrown a 20 person party and not been crowded. Absolutely clean. Bright. Comfortable and a really happy place to be. They have a bar and a restaurant as well as snacks in the lobby and canned cocktails to go. Breakfast looked good too
Cool hotel. Main hall was kept in 19th century style, but rooms renovated. Rooms small, but enough for 1-2 person. Downsides is elevator - is you need 4th floor or higher - you need to get key-card, even though you already have e-card in your phone. And breakfast - maybe it's me, but we ordered at 10:27 and got our dishes only at 11:10
This is a comfortable and grand hotel! So much charm and character! Valet parking available. Great location and walking distance to a lot of food choices. I stayed here during our real estate mastermind which was also held at this venue. The bar and restaurants here are fantastic. The rooms are comfortable. I stayed in a king half suite! Loved taking the stairs up to my room. The nicest set of stairs in a hotel I have ever been in!
